Dave Gisler Trio plays @ Am Rank

I’m playing two consecutive concerts with my trio in Zürich @ Am Rank on february 4th and 5th. Man… can’t wait to play with my partners in crime again! We’ve got some tunes from the Record “Zurich Concert” and some new stuff that we just recorded with jaimie branch and David Murray that we’ll play. It’s gona be one set, starting at 21:30. the food there is really good! You can eat before the concert… if you want to attend the concert, please check their website and better make a reservation to be sure. please come out and hang!

I am very happy to present the recording “The long Goodbye” with Raphael Walser on bass and Jonas Ruther on drums, which is released by Anuk Label in the Klactovee Edition. It was recorded during the Lockdown 2020. We play some relaxed ballads from the Great American Songbook. The recording was done in good old Blue Note style in a few hours and reflects the Laidback Lockdown vibe. 
The Klactovee Edition’s tagline comes from Thelonious Monk and reads, “You’ve got to dig it, you dig?” The Klactovee Edition is programmed and produced by Tom Gsteiger.
The liner notes were written by saxophonist Nat Su, much to my delight.

Dave Gisler Trio on EU-Tour with Jaimie Branch

It’s happening! In October we will play some concerts with Jaimie Branch in Europe!
Fiiiiiiiiinalyyyyy!!!!!!
So far nothing is confirmed in switzerland, but i think we might play in Zurich on Oct. 26th!
Really looking forward to that! After the Tour we will do a Studio Recording with Jaimie and a surprise guest!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Jaimie Branch will not be coming to Europe for our scheduled CD release tour in December 2020. Most concerts have been cancelled so far. The only concert that hasn’t been cancelled in Switzerland will be at Moods on Mo 14.12.2020 at 20:30 in Zurich. If it works out, we’ll be able to make the stage shake in the good old trio format, I think… anyway, I have some catching up to do regarding stage-shaking
The concerts in Belgium and Holland have just been cancelled. The concerts in the Ukraine and Poland are still open. but well… if no miracle happens, they will probably not take place. what a shame. But next year we’ll definitely try to do something with Jaimie again. 
But despite all the s**t you can buy our music on CD from 20.11.2020! “Zurich Concert” will be released by Intakt Records! A bright spot in my world (-:
